I am in the process of reading this book for review on HS magazine. It's a subject about which Shush feels passionately and I am so glad you could hear that in her writing voice. For your part, your blog is a friend to authors. AI. Thanks for posting this!
Thank you so much for this review! I'm really glad you enjoyed the read, and it led to a good discussion for you. That's what I always hope for!

It seems you and I have a same favorite passage. :)
I've received my copy but haven't cracked it yet. From what you say it seems it made an impression.

This book has truly captivated my attention. Thank you for the review, I'll definetly check the book out. It will be good since I'm going through a self discovery, philosohical journey concerning my own faith.

I don't see the bible as validating much since it is a fact that the council of nicea decided what was to be included and what was not. When we consider that councils making such decisions often do so with the purpose of popularising a faith, they are not really going to include that which clearly goes against popularly ingrained customs and conventions. Thus, the patriarchal system, the class system, the cultural system, etc, will not really find conflict in the finalised 'Holy' book.

I do however get the basic gist of what Jesus had to say, which i find embodied in his 13th Commandment.

Thanks for the insightful review AI. It provided quite a few points for consideration. :)

Great review - I'll have to put this on my 'to read' list.
